Choose a Gemini voice you can follow
Preview the available voices in the mobile app and compare them with the same short question.

Before you start
Sign in to the Gemini mobile app. Voice selection is not available in every language, and the number of choices varies by language.
Preview and choose
- Open the menu in the Gemini mobile app.
- Select your profile picture or initial.
- Open Settings.
- Select Gemini’s Voice.
- Tap a voice name to preview it.
- Select Confirm when you have chosen.
Compare a real task
Ask for a three-step explanation of something familiar. Compare how easily you distinguish the steps and numbers. The best choice is the one you can follow without repeatedly replaying the answer.
If voice selection is missing
Check that you are signed in and using the mobile app. Consult Google’s language guidance before changing language. Keep a written answer available if none of the voices works for you.
Availability and limits
The selected voice is used across Gemini Apps spoken responses, including Live and Listen. A voice choice does not establish transcription accuracy or make every spoken task accessible. Google currently exposes this setting through the mobile app.
